Dental date reminders

Good dental hygiene is even easier when you use these simple calendar reminders. Enter the date of your last dental visit or new toothbrush, and your calendar will remind you when it's time for another!

Follow these two easy steps to add reminders to your email calendar:

1. Enter the date of your last dental visit or new toothbrush.

2. A pop up request window will appear asking you to Save or Open. Select “Open”.

If you get a further pop up, then select “Allow.”

That's it! Your reminder is now set in your calendar.

Do you still have questions regarding the Calendar reminders? If so,
How does it work?

The calendar tool creates a file that can be used by calendar and scheduling applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Calendar, Apple iCal, Facebook, Lotus Notes and other email programs that are not Web-based. This file contains scheduling information — in this case repeating reminders — that let you know that your toothbrush needs replacing or that it is time to visit the dentist.Web browsers won’t save the file without your permission, so when asked, you should choose “Open.” You may also have to choose “Allow,” if you have further security settings on your computer.

Can I customise the reminder?

Yes, you can write whatever you wish on the calendar reminder — just edit the subject line and the existing default text in the body of the reminder. You may find it useful to add your dentist’s contact details too, so they are easy to find when you need to schedule a check-up.

How can I delete these appointments?

In Microsoft Outlook open the appointment from your calendar. You will be asked if you wish to open this occurrence or the entire series. Select “Entire series” and click “Delete,” and the reminder will be gone.

Does this calendar file contain any tracking or personal information?

No, it is a simple text file. It contains no personal information and does not have any tracking function. I do not have an application capable of reading a reminder file. You can save the file and use it with your calendar and scheduling program as soon as you have one — we recommend using Microsoft Outlook.

How do I use a saved reminder file?

Open your calendar and scheduling program, go back to the file and double click on it — it will open automatically and be ready to add to your calendar.
